Lane Johnson shares heartfelt post as the last old head on the Eagles after BG’s retirement
Philadelphia Eagles offensive tackle Lane Johnson had a vulnerable moment online Tuesday evening, reflecting on the end of an era in Philadelphia.
Shortly after longtime Eagles defensive end Brandon Graham announced his retirement, Lane Johnson took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a poignant GIF — Will Smith standing alone in an empty room from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. He captioned it, “Don’t worry I got y’all!” while tagging Graham, along with already-retired Eagles Fletcher Cox and Jason Kelce.

With Graham stepping away, Johnson remains the last active player from the Kelce-Johnson-Graham-Cox quartet — a legendary core that defined an era of Eagles football. Each of the three retired stars spent their entire careers in Philadelphia, just as Johnson has so far. And with his recent contract extension through 2027, the 34-year-old tackle seems destined to finish his career as an Eagle, too.
This group wasn’t just a foundation on the field; they were the heart of the locker room and respected voices in the organization. Now, as the lone veteran from that championship-era core, Johnson’s message is clear: even without his longtime teammates, he’s ready to lead and keep the culture alive in Philly.
