Eagles fan sends Jared Verse heartfelt message, proving we’re not all huge scumbags
Eagles fans are often labeled the bad guy by opposing fans and players. Honestly, I take that as a badge of honor, but even I’ll admit it’s nice to see some of us do good every once in awhile.
After the Birds played the Los Angeles Rams in November, an elderly Eagles fan sent Rams pass rusher Jared Verse a typed out letter. He wanted to thank Verse for helping up a camera man he had knocked over during the Philly-LA contest, and admitted that he wished Verse was on the Birds’ roster.
The anonymous fan ended with saying he’ll remain a Verse fan throughout his career, even though he’ll likely be giving Philadelphia fits every step of the way.

Like any fanbase, there are good fans and there are bad fans. This guy clearly falls in the former.
I like to think Philly fans are more passionate than we are scummy, and this type of stuff proves that. Kudos to this guy for putting some positivity into the world, something we rarely see nowadays.
