Mike Jerrick Water Main Break Fox 29

WATCH: Mike Jerrick unleashes elite stream pressure live on air, remains Philly’s certified dirty grandpa

There are a few things you can count on in Philadelphia. The I-95 construction will never truly end. The Eagles will always find a way to make you feel something in December and Mike Jerrick will never—ever—waste a good visual joke, especially if it involves pretending to take a piss on live television.

The longtime Good Day Philadelphia host delivered another first-ballot Hall of Fame performance this week.

Reporting live on a massive water main break, Jerrick stood next to a geyser of water exploding from the street and did what only he could do by turning his back to the camera and pretended to take the longest, most glorious morning piss in broadcast history.

And just when you thought the bit was over Mike Jerrick took it a step further. A little pivot. A little squat. And yes—Mike Jerrick bidet’d himself with the busted pipe. Obviously, we’re not making this up and you simply can’t script this kind of brilliance.

This is what makes Mike Jerrick so uniquely Philadelphia. He’s not trying to be the most polished anchor in the world. He’s not throwing out slick one-liners and ducking behind a teleprompter.

He’s playing fast and loose with FCC guidelines and nailing the delivery. You want safe and corporate? Go watch your boring national morning shows. You want a man who might take his shirt off mid-traffic report? That’s Mike Jerrick. That’s our guy.

The man’s basically become the chaotic uncle of Philly news—think of him like Jason Kelce if he swapped pads for a mic and a 6 a.m. call time. You know it’s coming, and you’re still surprised every time.

In an era of PR-polished local personalities and cookie-cutter hosts, Mike Jerrick is out here elevating his game when it matters most. When the water pressure rises, so does the performance.

Long live the stream king.
