Jeffrey Lurie Nick Sirianni Contract Extension

Jeffrey Lurie hints at one more big contract extension this offseason

Philadelphia Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie knows it’s extension season in South Philly, and it sounds like Nick Sirianni might be next in line to cash in.

The Eagles have been handing out new deals like Oprah lately. First it was Saquon Barkley with the headline-grabbing contract. Then came Lane Johnson, who basically has a lifetime membership to the Eagles’ offensive line. And now, if Jeffrey Lurie’s comments are any indication, the head coach is up next.

When asked at the league meetings about Sirianni’s future, Jeffrey Lurie didn’t say the words “extension,” but he might as well have handed over the paperwork on the spot.

Jeffrey Lurie Praises Nick Sirianni, Hints at Contract Extension

“Nick is going to be our coach,” Lurie said. “We don’t talk publicly [about contracts] … but you guys I’m sure will find out soon enough.”

Jeffrey Lurie’s Logic on the Tush Push is unbeatable—and the NFL knows it

Yeah…It’s happening.

Sirianni is entering the final year of his original five-year deal signed back in 2021. Since then, the Eagles have gone 48-20 in the regular season, made the playoffs three straight years, and oh yeah—won the Super Bowl this past February.

That tends to erase the “Fire Sirianni” chants that were echoing through the Delaware Valley just six months ago.

To his credit, Sirianni took the criticism, rode out the storm of a late-season collapse in 2023, and came back with a vengeance in 2024. The team is loaded again, and ownership clearly believes he’s the guy to keep the train on the tracks.

A new deal would also give the Eagles some long-term clarity at the top. Between Jeffrey Lurie, Howie Roseman’s front office wizardry and Sirianni’s leadership, Philly is building the kind of sustainable success you don’t see very often in the NFL.

And let’s be real—after winning the Super Bowl, this extension is just a formality. He earned it.
