Micah Parsons to the Eagles is inevitable following the latest barrage of strange comments from Jerry Jones

Just when you thought the Dallas Cowboys couldn’t be more dysfunctional, Jerry Jones grabs the mic and makes sure they are.

The latest circus act comes with the old senile man that goes by the name Jerry Jones, trying to negotiate directly with Micah Parsons without involving his agent, David Mulugheta — a guy who, by the way, just happens to be one of the most powerful agents in all of football.

According to Jones, he spent “five, six hours” talking with Parsons about a new deal, while basically pretending Mulugheta doesn’t exist.

Jerry Jones is playing a dangerous game

“I don’t know his name,” Jones said about the man who’s negotiated over $1 billion in player contracts.

Incredible, really.

Parsons explicitly asked the Cowboys to connect with his agent. He said so. Multiple reports confirmed it. And Jerry still won’t pick up the phone? That’s not just petty — that’s malpractice. This is one of the most important contract negotiations in franchise history, and the owner is running it like he’s haggling over livestock at a Texas auction.

Jones says “he writes the check,” and sure, he’s not wrong. But this isn’t 1994. Every other competent franchise in the NFL knows how this works: talk to the agent, get the deal done, and don’t make it harder than it needs to be.

Micah Parsons isn’t some fringe player asking for QB1 money. He’s a generational defensive talent who has the potential to be the best pass rusher of the next decade. He should be treated like gold — and instead, Jerry is out here giving big “I’ll negotiate with your dad instead of your lawyer” energy.

The best part? Micah Parsons responded immediately and directly:

“David is the best and I will not be doing any deal without [him]. Like anyone with good sense I hired experts for a reason. There is no one I trust more when it comes to negotiating contracts than David! There will be no backdoors in this contract negotiation.”

Let’s not forget how the Cowboys love to drag out negotiations with their stars. They waited until late August to extend CeeDee Lamb. They took it down to the wire with Dak Prescott. And now, they’re playing hardball with the best defensive player in the league—a guy who could be the first non-quarterback to break the $40 million per year threshold.

The Eagles are lurking in the shadows…

If there’s one thing we know about Howie Roseman, it’s that he pounces when teams mismanage their talent. Just ask A.J. Brown, Saquon Barkley, Zack Baun, the list goes on and on. The Eagles’ front office finds ways to bring in elite players, and Parsons, a Pennsylvania native, might be the next superstar to make the jump to Philadelphia.

And let’s be real—Parsons has already hinted at it.

He’s talked about growing up an Eagles fan. He’s shown plenty of love for Jalen Hurts and the Birds on social media. Imagine putting him in an Eagles jersey, playing alongside Jalen Carter, and Jordan Davis.

That’s not just a good defense. That’s a nightmare for every quarterback in the NFL.

Jerry Jones better tread lightly

So, Jerry Jones can do all the posturing he wants about “not rushing into a deal”, but the longer he waits, the more Parsons’ frustration will continue to grow. And if he feels undervalued, or even mislead?

He’ll walk.

Micah Parsons will bring his talents to the Philadelphia Eagles and immediately put the nail in the coffin to Jerry Jones’ grave.

  1. The eagles don’t want Parsons – he is a big mouth trouble maker. He is like a cancer on any team he plays for – he needs to be a cowboy for life.
