Rat: Joe Giglio can’t stop contradicting his Phillies takes

Anti-Phillies propagandist Joe Giglio is at it again. We all know the shtick at this point — say something for quick clicks, then turn around a week later to contradict yourself with another click baity sound bite. The 94WIP Special.

Everyone on the station does it, but Giglio is especially egregious about it.

On March 24th, before Opening Day, Joe Giglio went on the airwaves to tell people they should be worried about Rob Thomson. According to Joe, Thompson should’ve ben on the hot seat entering the year.

Fast forward to nine games into the season, Giglio has completely changed his tune. Now after three series wins and fresh off a weekend series win over the Dodgers, Giglio has seen the light. He has been delivered from his Anti-Rob Thomson sins and now believes this Phillies team has what it takes to go all the way.

This is nothing new for Joey. He’s made his living off saying stuff like this and honestly, I have to respect it at this point. He knows what he’s doing and idiots like me eat it up. At least I have the built-in excuse of “I need to write about this.” Anyone who just listens to this garbage and falls for it time and time again is a dumbass.

The funny thing is, both of these claims are reaches. We are nine games into the season and while I certainly have hope for this Phillies team, I’m not stupid enough to fall head over heels this early. I’m also not stupid enough to call for a manager’s job before the season even starts.

Joe Giglio will continue to do this throughout the season, so I’m sure I’ll be back here writing about it again in a few weeks.
