WATCH: Zack Hample should have been called for fan interference on a home run during Rays vs. Angels

Baseball content creator and known freakazoid Zack Hample got away with fan interference on a home run, and, quite frankly, I’m pissed about it. The Angels were gifted a home run against the Rays as a direct result of his reaching into the field of play with his glove.

Umpires let Zack Hample off the hook for what was pretty clearly fan interference:

You can say it’s marginal, but Hample is honestly the biggest creep in baseball. The fact that he’s wearing a t-shirt with his own name on it is all you need to know.

He should be put on a list that doesn’t let him within 100ft of a baseball stadium. I’m pretty sure he’s not allowed near Little League stadiums (or schools in general*), so it’d be easy for the big leagues to extend that to their fields as well.

I get Zack Hample’s whole shtick is catching home runs at baseball games, but can we drop the glove? He’s made countless catches at this point. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to request he up the difficulty at this point.
