Update: AJ Brown’s car has reportedly been found somewhere in Camden, New Jersey
AJ Brown really lives by the motto “Always Open.” Apparently, that now applies to his driveway too.
At around 3:45 AM in Philly, the Eagles’ star wide receiver had his car stolen — right out from in front of his house. In true AJ fashion, he didn’t call a press conference or release a lawyer-vetted statement. He did what any modern NFL superstar with a solid social following would do: hopped on social media and offered the thief a deal.
Someone stole AJ Brown’s car and he’s given the thief a friendly little ultimatum
“Bring it back and I won’t press charges,” he said. “But if I find you first… it’s gonna be what it’s gonna be.”
That’s not a threat, per se. That’s just letting the guy know that AJ is 6’1”, 226 lbs, runs a 4.4, and once stiff-armed a grown man into another dimension. It’s an invitation to make the right choice before things get personal.
AJ Brown’s Car Found in Camden, New Jersey
The car has since been recovered in Camden, New Jersey — because of course it was.
Camden remains undefeated in the “Dude Where’s My Stolen Car?” sweepstakes. Philly police got it back, and while there are rumors the thief may be in custody, the legal side of things is still murky. That’s probably for the best — AJ already offered immunity in exchange for a guilt-fueled return.
I don’t see an issue with Brown’s vehicle reportedly unlocked. Is that a smart decision in the city of Philadelphia? No, but this is the rich suburbs of South Jersey we’re talking about. It is kind of hilarious that this lines up perfectly with AJ’s nickname “Always Open” and I’m sure there’s a ton of jokes we could make here but I think everyone gets the point.
AJ Brown Stolen Vehicle Police Report

Some people were weirdly angry about the fact that the police report listed his street. Relax. AJ Brown is a multimillionaire professional athlete with a widely known residence. It’s not exactly top-secret CIA-level info. No need to be crying about a public street being in a public police report.
At the end of the day, when you’re rich and live in a quiet suburb, you don’t expect someone to roll up at 4 AM and swipe your car. I’m not rich and I also live in the suburbs. I don’t lock anything either.
I also drive a car that has less resale value than the Nike Vapors AJ wears on Sundays, so if someone steals mine, that’s their own problem. I actually would encourage someone to come swipe my 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee and light in on fire so I can file an insurance claim but that’s just a joke…kind of.
Moral of the story: AJ Brown is always open. His doors, his routes, and apparently, his patience. But if you cross him, and he finds you before the cops do, well…
“It’s gonna be what it’s gonna be.”
