Joe Giglio doubles down on his latest Eagles 2025 NFL Draft take and it’s flat out wrong

Feels like just yesterday I was blogging about Joe Giglio’s awful NFL Draft hot take. And somehow, someway, the man has fired off a brand new one and managed to double down on it while on the airwaves. And let me tell you — it’s just flat out wrong and idiotic.

Joe Giglio says Eagles should draft Alabama QB Jalen Milroe in second-round >>

Giglio tried to compare this to when the Eagles took Jalen Hurts in the second round while they had Carson Wentz. Here’s the problem — Carson Wentz had clear injury concerns, was mentally cooked, and that team needed a contingency plan.

Jalen Hurts? He’s coming off a Super Bowl MVP. He just outdueled Patrick Mahomes. Again. He’s the face of the franchise. The locker room loves him. The city worships him. And you want to draft… a backup? We have Tanner Mckee, who is a total beast and could use that 2nd round pick on actual holes/needs on the team.

Joe Giglio doubles down on idiotic Eagles draft take

We’ve been over this before, but it bears repeating: Joe Giglio is the king of bad Eagles takes. Whether it’s trading an entire draft for a linebacker, or crying for years about Micah Parsons over DeVonta Smith, the man simply refuses to grasp how Howie Roseman operates.

Dumb & Dumber

This whole thing reeks of laziness. It feels like Joe Giglio just throws the biggesr names into the air without even watching tape or understanding roster needs. He doesn’t scout players. He doesn’t break down schemes. He doesn’t grasp team-building logic. And yet somehow, this dude is on the radio every single day talking sports like he’s got it all figured out.

At this point, I have to assume Joe Giglio is perfectly okay with not being taken seriously, because this somehow rivals his dog shit take on the Eagles trading every pick in the draft for Abdul Carter.

And this isn’t me throwing any shade at Jalen Milroe. The kid clearly has some untapped potential, and could turn into a special player in the NFL. But, of all the teams in the league that should draft him, the Eagles should be one of the last teams in the league to even consider it.
