Otto Kemp had himself an interesting and possibly record-breaking night last night with the Lehigh Valley IronPigs.
Kemp stepped up to the plate five times in the game, was hit by a pitch in four of those at-bats, and roped a double to stay red hot in the fourth inning.

WATCH: Otto Kemp gets hit by a pitch FOUR times last night
Otto Kemp last night for AAA Lehigh Valley:
1st Inning: Hit By Pitch
2nd Inning: Hit By Pitch
4th Inning: Double
6th Inning: Hit By Pitch
7th Inning: Hit By Pitch
Don’t quote me on this but I believe the record for most times a batter has been hit by a pitch in a single MLB game is three, and that record has been tied 36 times since 1900.
I think the same record holds for the Minor Leagues, which means Otto Kemp broke that last night by getting plunked four times? I rarely check stats and honestly, wouldn’t know where to start but feel free to look that up on your own time.
The Phillies need outfield help. Otto Kemp continues to impress. We’ll probably see Weston Wilson get the call before him (unfortunately) but if Kemp keeps producing, there’s a good chance we’ll see him in South Philly sooner than later.
Otto Kemp’s long road to Lehigh Valley will end in South Philly sooner than you think
