Ramsey, 30, remains a high-caliber player despite a less dominant 2024 season. He started every game for Miami, recording two interceptions and a sack. His experience under Vic Fangio in 2023, where he earned a Pro Bowl nod in just 10 games, adds to his appeal.

Financial considerations are significant in this potential trade. Ramsey is guaranteed $25 million in salary bonuses this season. For Philadelphia to proceed, Miami would likely need to absorb a substantial portion of this amount. This approach would allow Philadelphia to strengthen their secondary without a long-term financial commitment.

Acquiring Ramsey would position him as the CB2 opposite rookie Quinyon Mitchell, potentially giving the Birds one of the most formidable cornerback duos in the NFL. This move would alleviate concerns about relying on younger, less proven players like Kelee Ringo, Adoree Jackson, and Eli Ricks.

With the NFL Draft underway, the Eagles’ interest in Ramsey could be a strategic move to solidify their defense. If Miami is willing to negotiate on the financial aspects, this trade could come to fruition soon.
