Fresh off a Super Bowl LIX beatdown of the Kansas City Chiefs — a 40-22 throttling that ended any talk of a Chiefs three-peat — the Eagles are walking into 2025 with receipts, rings, and an even deeper chip on their shoulder.

Darius Slay might be chilling in Pittsburgh now, but even he couldn’t help but cosign. “Still the favorite in the NFC,” he said.

He’s right.

The Eagles didn’t just win a Super Bowl — they dismantled the NFL’s reigning dynasty. Patrick Mahomes spent most of that night dodging defenders and watching film of his own interceptions.

Philly’s pass rush terrorized the Chiefs all game. Mahomes got picked off twice. Kansas City couldn’t run, couldn’t protect, and definitely couldn’t stop Cooper DeJean from taking one back to the house.

Let’s not gloss over how massive last year’s draft was. Mitchell and DeJean basically rebooted the Eagles secondary overnight. Mitchell started 16 games as a rookie CB1 and looked like a seasoned vet doing it. DeJean? Pick-six in the damn Super Bowl. Unreal.
