Shedeur Sanders prank call

Shedeur Sanders gets prank called by a fake Saints GM, told he’ll “have to wait a little longer”

The Shedeur Sanders drops has become the defining story of the 2025 NFL Draft. Whether you think it should be or not, that’s the reality.

We are now three rounds into the draft and Sanders is still on the board. Five quarterbacks have been taken thus far, while the signal caller some believed would be a top-10 pick is still waiting to hear his name called.

To make matters worse, Shedeur Sanders thought he was about to get drafted during Day 2 when he received a phone call from someone pretending to be New Orleans Saints GM Micky Loomis. Sanders’ family gathered around while the QB put the phone on speaker.

“You’ve been waiting a long time,” the Loomis impersonated told Sanders. “Well, you’re going to have to wait a little long.” Call ends. Brutal.

I wouldn’t say I feel bad for Sanders — he’s still insanely rich and built a whole brand off his name. So, I really don’t care if he has to wait until the final day of the draft to get picked. But prank calling his private phone to tell him he’ll have to wait even longer? That’s nasty work. Top-tier levels of petty.
