A three-star recruit out of Gulliver Prep in Miami, Taylor carved out a strong five-year career at Rice, finishing with 238 tackles, 10 TFLs, 4 sacks, 10 interceptions, and 27 pass breakups. He’s got a nose for the football and tends to show up when it matters most, especially on money downs.

At 5’10”, 193 pounds, Taylor doesn’t have ideal size for the position, and it can show up against bigger backs or when he’s trying to work through traffic. He’s prone to getting stuck on blocks and can get washed out in the run game if he doesn’t beat opponents with quickness or angles.

Still, what he lacks in size, he makes up for with instincts, toughness, and versatility. Taylor is a sure tackler in space, plays with a ton of energy, and has enough football IQ to line up in multiple spots on the back end. His natural feel for the game also projects well to special teams, where he could carve out an early role while developing further as a depth piece in the secondary.

Overall, Taylor fits the mold of a smart, productive player who just needs to find the right spot to stick. If he can hold up physically, he’s got enough playmaking juice and versatility to make things interesting this summer in Philadelphia.
