Jihaad Campbell Shoots His Shot with Kay Adams, and I’m Already Ready to Buy His Jersey

Jihaad Campbell hasn’t even put on a midnight green jersey yet, but the kid is already climbing my Eagles power rankings — and it has nothing to do with football (yet). The No. 31 overall pick out of Alabama went on Kay Adams’ show and in the middle of a little light-hearted celebrity space draft, dropped the smoothest line we may have heard from an Eagles rookie.

Jihaad Campbell, mid-interview, casually looked Kay Adams in the eyes and said:

“We’re gonna bring you too. I like your energy.”

As if the tape from Alabama doesn’t already speak for itself, the Eagles got themselves another dawg. And no, I’m not talking about another Georgia Bulldogs player. Just a flat out beast of a linebacker on and off the field.

But now he’s out here on live TV, looking Kay Adams dead in the soul and saying he’d take her to space because he likes her energy?

This dude just earned a fan in me, and I haven’t even seen him put on a helmet and shorts at the Nova Care Complex.

And honestly, I can’t blame him. Kay Adams is a national treasure. Beautiful, funny, knows her ball, and doesn’t take herself too seriously — a lethal combo. If I was a 22-year-old linebacker who just got drafted by one of the most passionate fanbases in sports? Yeah, I’d shoot my shot too. Who wouldn’t?
