Ty Robinson’s nickname may have already surpassed the ‘Exciting Whites’

The Eagles selected Nebraska defensive tackle Ty Robinson in the fourth-round of the 2025 NFL Draft and he may already be my favorite young player on the team.

Not only is he a beast on the field, he also has a pet camel, which is objectively very weird — but I like it. I want weird on my team, builds team chemistry. But above all else, Ty Robinson has, without question, the best nickname on the team.

Ty Robinson: The Vanilla Gorilla

I just discovered that Eagles rookie IDL Ty Robinson is nicknamed the “Vanilla Gorilla.”

The Eagles already have several solid nicknames on their roster. The Exciting Whites is the first that comes to mind, but I don’t know, I think Vanilla Gorilla has it beat.

It checks all the boxes:

1. It rhymes
2. It makes sense for the player and position
3. Rolls off the tongue

Not to mention, he didn’t have to give himself the nickname — it was just given to him. That’s the mark of a generational nickname right there.
