Browns QB Dillon Gabriel predicted being drafted 94th overall by talking to a bird

In case you didn’t hear, a little birdie told former Oregon QB Dillon Gabriel that the Browns were drafting him 94th overall. No, seriously, that’s exactly what happened. No metaphors here.

Dillon Gabriel channeled his inner Eliza Thornberry and communicated with a bird that was also somehow an NFL Insider:

First of all, only real ball knowers get that Wild Thornberrys reference. That’s elite TV knowledge.

For those that don’t know (aka troglodytes), she can talk to animals. Not that difficult to infer, I’m sure.

A lot of people are impressed by Gabriel’s ability to communicate with and understand a wild bird. Don’t get me wrong, I am, too. That’s an all-time intangible that probably flew under the radar during the draft process.

But how is nobody talking about how tapped into NFL front offices that bird is? It knew the QB-needy teams and it knew the draft grade most franchises had for Gabriel.

“But Ryan, how do you know he didn’t just make that up to aura farm?” I don’t, okay? But god forbid a guy try and have a little fucking whimsy in his life.

Very real and legitimate journalist. I don't see a loss on the schedule.
