The NFL puts the Eagles on Hard Knocks to pick up the rest of the NFC East’s slack in 2025
It’s an absolute travesty that the NFL’s new model franchise — the Philadelphia Eagles — are just now making their debut on HBO’s Hard Knocks. For years, we’ve watched second-rate franchises get the spotlight while the Birds built a powerhouse from the trenches up. But finally, that injustice is getting corrected… kinda.
This year’s in-season edition of Hard Knocks will focus on the entire NFC East, not just the Eagles. Why? Probably because the Birds are psychopaths in the best way possible — locked in 24/7, zero distractions, fully dialed into one mission: Lombardi or nothing. The NFL needed the rest of the NFC East clown show (Cowboys, Giants, Commanders) just to balance out the screen time with some drama and dysfunction.

Hard Knocks: In Season returns with the NFC East!

This marks only the second time ever that Hard Knocks is covering an entire division in-season. Last year it was the AFC North. This year, we get the most toxic, overhyped, and soap opera-filled division in football — now with the Eagles as the main event.
The in-season episodes will air in December on HBO and Max. So, mark your calendar’s Eagles fans.
Lights, camera, action
This year’s NFC East drama is going to be must-watch chaos, and sitting at the center of it all are your Philadelphia Eagles, who are hellbent on getting back to the Super Bowl and repeating. While the rest of the division chases headlines and becoming relevant, the Eagles are focused on reminding everyone why they’re the best organization in football.
Hard Knocks of a schedule
After a Week 9 bye, Philly’s schedule cranks up to full-blown bloodbath mode. November features heavyweight matchups against the Packers, Lions, Cowboys (I guess), and Bears, followed by a December stretch where they’ll square off with the Chargers, Raiders, Commanders, and Bills. The season wraps with a divisional matchup at home against Washington in Week 18.
Storylines? Try survival. The Eagles aren’t here to entertain — they’re here to bury the NFC East on national television. And not to mention make a run at becoming back-to-back champions.
