Pause: Jay Williams had a suspect Finals prediction concerning Lu Dort being ‘in’ Tyrese Haliburton

ESPN NBA analyst Jay Williams committed a suspect faux pas while breaking down how Oklahoma City and Indiana match up defensively in the upcoming NBA Finals. Williams predicted that not only would Thunder defensive stalwart Lu Dort lock down Tyrese Haliburt, he claimed he’s “gonna be in his ass” all series long.

I understand that sports talk can occasionally lead to an unintentional double entendre. But let’s be real, that was sus as hell.

It’s got to be up there with some of the funniest moments in NBA analysis. It might even contend with some of Charles Barkley’s classics like “when a guy’s banging you” and “these young guys… these young guys are coming.”

Even Monica McNutt knew Jay went a step too far. She couldn’t even let him continue with his point.
