DeVonta Smith lists ‘The Dagger’ among top 3 favorite catches, takes a shot at Washington

Eagles receiver and Super Bowl champion DeVonta Smith met with the media during mini-camp. Smith was asked if his iconic Super Bowl catch was his favorite of his career, and he gave a classic response.

Of course, The Dagger is probably at the top of any Eagles fan’s list, be it for Smith specifically or team history in general. It was an electrifying, championship-sealing play, after all.

Of course, I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention DeVonta Smith has 48 career catches in nine games against the Washington Commanders. That includes three touchdown receptions.

One of his favorite catches definitely came during his standout showing in the 2024 NFC Championship Game, where he caught all four of his targets for 45 yards, highlighted by a crucial toe-tap grab along the sideline.
