Indiana Pacers mascot tries to impress Caitlin Clark & Co. at NBA Finals Game 3, fails miserably
Indiana Fever players Caitlin Clark, Sophie Cunningham, and Lexie Hull came out to Gainbridge Fieldhouse to support the Pacers in Game 3 of the NBA Finals. Boomer, the Pacers mascot seized his opportunity to impress the trio and immediately fumbled the bag.
The Pacers mascot hit a somersault and stuck the landing, but Caitlin Clark & Co. were not impressed:

OOF. This video causes me physical pain. At the same time, though, I can’t stop watching.
Boomer seriously hit that move, too, but these ladies simply did not care. I would’ve at least expected some positive reaction, but they couldn’t even give him the time of day.
I would never assume three professional athletes would fall all over themselves for a mascot doing a neat trick, but where’s the love? The energy? They gave him absolutely nothing.
I don’t even want to think about what was going through the mind of the man behind the mask. There’s a real person in that suit, and he just got stonewalled by the Queen of Indiana.
You have to have a short memory in the mascot game. It’s like being an NFL corner. You’re not going to win every matchup, but that one probably took a little longer to shake off.
Of course, the Pacers ended up taking Game 3, so the bad vibes clearly did not impact the rest of the night. It was truly one of the best basketball games I’ve watched in a long time. Just pure hoops on display.
