WATCH: Marlins Ball Boy gets a full workout in the first inning against the Phillies
The Philadelphia Phillies opened up a four-game series down in Miami against the lowly Marlins and if tonight was any indication, it’s going to be a long week for the ball boy down on the right field foul line.

When I was searching for the clip below, I was SHOCKED to see how many results came up when I searched for “Marlins Ball Boy” on X. It appears they have had quite the roster over the years.
More on that below. The clip tonight featured this Marlins ball boy getting a full workout in the first inning. He didn’t do himself any favors either. It was clear as day that our guy still had his phone and keys in his pocket as he was tirelessly chasing down foul balls.

Naturally, our guy John Kruk had to call it out on the broadcast. I missed what he said before “sobering up” but just those two words hit me like a ton of bricks after drinking myself stupid over the weekend.
I don’t know about the rest of you, but I was on a full bender over the weekend. It’s summertime, baby. I haven’t been sober since the Eagles won the Super Bowl and in between the constant thunderstorms across the Delaware Valley this Spring, you have to make the most of the sunny weather as we roll into the Dog Days.
Side Note: Is this the same Marlins ball boy that tossed a live ball into the stands?
Seriously though. The amount of videos of Marlins’ ball boys bringing nothing but disgrace to the foul lines is incredible. Well, almost all of the bat boys. Check out this guy. Too much drip for me to handle, I’ll tell you that much.

Anyways, the Phillies are currently up on the Fish 3-2 in the bottom of the eighth. Trea Turner started the game with a leadoff dinger. Max Kepler went yard again in the 4th, and Trea knocked home Brandon Marsh to extend the lead in the seventh.
On the mound, Mick Abel shoved, tossing five innings of three-hit ball. He allowed one earned run, and a walk while striking out three.
