Aleksander Barkov woke up the whole neighborhood at 5 am to celebrate Florida Panthers’ Stanley Cup win

The Florida Panthers captured their second-straight Stanley Cup on Tuesday night, and the celebrations got into full swing pretty much immediately. Captain Aleksander Barkov refused to let the party stop, stumbling through his neighborhood at 5 am to show his neighbors Lord Stanley.

I’ll be honest, if the captain of my local hockey team knocked on my door at 5 am holding the Stanley Cup, woke me from my slumber, and said, “You coming outside or what?” I’d be outside immediately.

Granted, I probably wouldn’t be asleep and would be partying like I was on the roster myself. Also, the Flyers aren’t particularly close to winning a championship any time soon, so this is pure fantasy.

But the story here is Barkov. He’s been tearing up the league for ages now, and it doesn’t seem like his team will be slowing down in the near future. Insane depth and a favorable cap situation have a real dynasty brewing down in Florida.

Plus, when it comes to celebrating championships, nobody does it quite like the Russians.
