Eagles WR corps ranked No. 1 by Pro Football Focus
On Tuesday, Pro Football Focus dropped their annual WR corps rankings of all 32 teams. To no one’s surprise, the Eagles came in at the number one spot.
PFF on the Eagles dominant wide receiver group
The Eagles earned a team 79.1 PFF receiving grade last season and boast the No. 1 (A.J. Brown) and No. 17 (DeVonta Smith) receivers in PFF’s top 32 wide receiver rankings, as well as the No. 2 running back (Saquon Barkley) and No. 8 tight end (Dallas Goedert). Throw in Jahan Dotson as an ideal No. 3 receiver, and you’ve got a group that has a strong case for being the best in the league.
I don’t know why anyone tries to even argue this. AJ Brown can’t be stopped in single coverage, DeVonta Smith is one of the best route runners in the NFL, Dallas Goedert runs like a mad man with the football in his hand. Oh yeah, and the guy throwing them the ball is pretty damn good too — even if the nitwits over at 94WIP would have you believe otherwise.
