17 Seasons: New trailer dropped for It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia
Seventeen seasons. Let that sink in. It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia has been pumping out unapologetically unhinged comedy since 2005, and somehow it’s still going strong.
The trailer just dropped for Season 17, and the Gang isn’t just back… they’re going nuclear. New episodes drop July 9 on FXX and Hulu, with an 8-episode run that looks like pure gold.
Always Sunny Season 17 Trailer:
Frank Reynolds on The Bachelor? Sign me up.
The show that’s been rotting brains and romantic expectations since the early 2000s is finally getting the satire it deserves. The Bachelor has always been a dumpster fire masquerading as a dating show, and now Danny DeVito is about to turn that trash heap into an all-time Sunny storyline.
If there’s one man who can expose the horrifying soul of reality TV, it’s Frank — preferably while shirtless and covered in Purell.
Of course, the rest of the season promises more The Gang chasing money, fame, and instant gratification with zero self-awareness and even less dignity. They still crave attention, eroticism, fake clout, and emotional validation through screaming.
You know, the basics.
Charlie, Mac, Dennis, Dee, and Frank are still being terrible people in new and inventive ways. That’s become America’s most consistent form of therapy. We need this show. Desperately. It might be the only scripted comedy left that isn’t afraid to make everyone uncomfortable in the name of a laugh.
Seventeen seasons in, Always Sunny isn’t just surviving, it’s thriving. If Season 17 is anything like this trailer, we’re in for a Hall of Fame-level run.
