Disgusting Behavior: Sicko Padres fan eats cheesesteak with a fork at Citizens Bank Park

A grave atrocity was committed at Citizens Bank Park on Wednesday night. A Padres fan spat in the face of God Almighty when they decided to eat a cheesesteak out of the roll with a fork.

I’m so sorry Kyle had to witness this, but I applaud him for remaining a journalist and sharing the horrific dietary exploits of this Padres fan:

I know, I’m just as confused as you are.

It’s fitting that, as The Liberty Line’s resident Sandwich Commentator, this story marks my 1,000th post at the website. It also illustrates how seriously fucked in this guy is.

I’ve seen and written about countless cheesesteak-related incidents ranging from faux pas to extreme fuckups. This one falls on the latter end of the spectrum without question.

Fortunately, the Phillies locked in and comfortably beat the Padres 5-1 to claim a 2-1 series win. Actions like this simply cannot be rewarded, so the Fightins have my eternal thanks for showing this Padres fan what happens when you disrespect the Fighting City of Philadelphia so egregiously.

And I’m not reacting like this just because I am extremely protective of the cultural practice of cheesesteak creation and consumption (which I am). I’d feel this way about any quality sandwich being consumed in such a ludicrous manner.

If you can’t eat bread, that’s fine! Sandwiches, especially cheesesteaks, are not for you. Watching your carb intake is a completely acceptable activity. There are other things to eat.

I am genuinely impressed with Kyle’s restraint when faced with such antisocial, barnyard animal behavior. Socrates once said that without rules, we are nothing but animals, and these Padres fans proved him correct.

We exist in a society, and, sadly, the social contract was broken tonight. May God bestow the punishment upon you that He sees fit, heathen.
