Indiana Fever president gets cooked over strange Caitlin Clark comments — deletes X account in shame
The Indiana Fever front office continues to trip over itself trying to not capitalize on having the most important athlete in women’s basketball history, Caitlin Clark.
Fever President Kelly Krauskopf has officially pulled the plug on her X (formerly Twitter) account after backlash erupted over resurfaced comments that downplayed Caitlin Clark’s impact and insulted the intelligence of literally everyone watching the WNBA in 2024.
Let me walk you through this dumpster fire.
Fever president makes strange comments regarding Caitlin Clark and Indiana Fever
“We want to sustain the growth, the interest level in the franchise. I mean this is about the Indiana Fever. We have foundational players in Caitlin and Aliyah. But I want this team to be a leader in the country. An enduring brand like Apple or something." pic.twitter.com/bPPqxJmoCq

Translation? “Appreciate the record-breaking spotlight, Caitlin — now sit down while we pretend you’re just part of the background.” What a joke.
Fans didn’t just let that slide — they torched Fever President Kelly Krauskopf all over X like it was open mic night at a comedy roast. One fan ripped her straight out of the marketing handbook, tweeting:

Boy did Fever fans and Clark supporters let the president have it…

And then came the truth bomb:
“Caitlin goes and so does 80% of the Fever fanbase!!” another ticked off fan wrote.
Let’s make one thing clear: Caitlin Clark is the Indiana Fever right now.
These fans didn’t just magically appear out of thin air. They didn’t come because of a clever brand strategy or some vague “new demographic” outreach. They came because Caitlin Clark is a generational superstar who literally moved the needle for an entire league.
So when the Fever President gets up there and talks about being “like Apple,” while minimizing the exact reason they’re relevant, yeah — people are going to lose it.
And they did…
This shouldn’t be difficult. But the WNBA and now the Indiana Fever organization keep fumbling what should be a layup.
If you’re lucky enough to have Caitlin Clark on your roster, your job isn’t to “move on” to some vague brand strategy. Your job is to protect her at all costs. Build around her. Market her. Make her happy. Because if she leaves? That brand you want to be “like Apple”? You’ll be the WNBA version of RadioShack by 2026.

You people are a joke that little girl is only help your league and now you’re trying to sabotage your career she’d be better off leaving you guys and you go down in the dirt again unreal why are you doing the s*** why are you letting stuff go down why you letting her get fouled like she does trying to break her I don’t get it You’re as bad as a fan do something that’s right quit interfering with her career and get those teammates to be a real teammate she gets passes to them she has a lot of assist she’s making them better players get with the program idiots
