CJ Gardner-Johnson walks back disrespectful comments towards former Eagles teammates
In a surprising turn of events, former Eagles safety and certified Wild Man CJ Gardner-Johnson retracted the disrespectful comments he made towards his old Super Bowl winning teammates. He sat down with Ryan Clark & Co. at The Pivot and apologized, which I honestly never saw coming.
CJ Gardner-Johnson showed some real maturity in apologizing for his nasty comments:

Honestly, shout out CJ for owning up to it. Sure, he was dirty little rat for incessantly bashing the team he won a Super Bowl with, but that’s just life in the NFL.
Was I annoyed when he first started shit-talking the Eagles? Absolutely. But I also know that he’s a borderline insane person, so I never put too much stock in it.
We’ve all said things we didn’t mean. Probably 100% of people have said negative things about an ex shortly after a break-up that, in hindsight, you probably didn’t mean. Even if there is a small grain of truth at the center of it.
CJ Gardner-Johnson has that grain of truth in his statement as well. The Eagles have been to the Super Bowl twice in the Jalen Hurts era, and both times he was on the team. These are simply facts that exist in the world in which we live.
Obviously saying the Eagles will never win another one is insane. The team remains stacked and they remain favorites heading into the 2025 season.
In the end, this is probably a good note to end on for the CJ Gardner-Johnson x Eagles blood feud. CJ needs to focus on his new relationship with the Houston Texans, and there’s nothing worse than being with someone that won’t shut up about their ex.
