WATCH: John Kruk shares a story about cutting down trees and getting shot at in West Virginia

John Kruk story time during Phillies games is standard practice, but the one he shared tonight during the eighth inning of The Fightins’ 4-1 win over the Boston Red Sox was incredible.

Kruk is literally telling a story about a guy illegally hunting on his property while he’s cutting up wood from fallen trees.

The guy hunting just started firing off rounds in their direction because of the chainsaw noise that was preventing him from putting a few bullets into a deer.

The best part is John Kruk telling the story so casually, like it was a typical day in West Virginia. Honestly, it’s not too far off from a typical day in West Virginia, but the point still stands.

I spent a lot of time throughout the Wild and Wonderful state of West Virginia. Outside of Morgantown, let’s just say that things tend to live up to the state motto.

No big deal, just a solid story to tell during Major League Baseball’s most-watched local broadcast while The Fightins were en route to their second straight win over the Boston Red Sox.
