WATCH: Mike McDaniel gives very dark response to reporters “good morning”
Gotta be honest, I’m not the biggest fan of Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel. I understand why NFL fans find him polarizing, however I just think everything he says and does comes off fake. It’s hard to view McDaniel as anything but a “try hard”.
As for football, there’s a clear knock on the guy given his lack of postseason success. That’s a fair assessment given his track record but if you continue to peel back the layers, then I think it’s fair to say that Mike McDaniel falls short on a variety of things that ultimately lead to that lack of postseason success, right?
Can anyone actually say with a straight face that the culture around the Miami Dolphins is something that can be considered Super Bowl caliber?
I have my doubts. Sure, the Dolphins were relevant roughly 25 years before I was even born but outside of that, there’s nothing happening in Miami, especially in the playoffs.
Who knows? Maybe it’s simply because Mike McDaniel, an alleged offensive guru, has gotten absolutely everything he can out of the Dolphins offense and Tua Tagovailoa and it’s still not enough. Maybe that’s also why Mike McDaniel is happy that he’s one step closer to death.

Try Hard Mike McDaniel At It Again
It’s a shame, really. I agree with Mike McDaniel’s statement. It’s early-August and I just spent all weekend partying my ass off, only to have to wake up and get myself ready for work. I gifted myself a Tyler Phillips pep talk as I stood lifeless in the mirror around 7am today, but even that didn’t even snap me out of the lingering feeling of death and despair.
I do think that Mike McDaniel is making a great point. At 26-years old. There’s really not much else to look forward to. What am I supposed to do now? College is over. The “American Dream” doesn’t even exist anymore. No one can even afford to buy their own house these days. No one is even having kids anymore either.
It’s a grim future ahead and in a few years, robots will have completely taken over.
So yeah, one step closer to death sounds great right now, what can I say.
Anyways, this really isn’t about me. I’ll (probably) be fine. Whatever.
As for Mike McDaniel, this is what happens when you are stuck coaching guys like Tyreek Hill and Tua. That would put any sane man’s mind into a blender.
Best of luck this season, coach.
