You know the saying “like father, like son”, right? Eh, that might not apply here but you get the point I’m trying to make. That was the vibe at The Linc from Jalen Hurts on the sidelines as Tanner McKee torched the Cincinnati Bengals in the Birds’ preseason opener.

The Nick Sirianni regime has never been one to play the starters much in the preseason. Heading into the first game against the Bengals last night, Eagles’ fans anticipated a strong dose of The Mormon Missile, Tanner McKee, and let’s just say that QB2 delivered with flying colors.

Eagles fans at the Linc and all over social media were going nuts over Tanner McKee’s performance but he even made captain stoic, Jalen Hurts proud last night.

I guess the better example would be the proud big-brother of the little brother. It didn’t stop there. In fact in the most fitting way possible, the Birds first points came at the hands of a Tanner Mckee tush push on 4th and goal.

What an electric performance by the Eagles current backup quarterback. This guy could literally start for half of the teams in the NFL. Madden 26 better update that QB rating, assuming they haven’t already.
