A plane crashed onto a golf course in Australia and the phone footage is wild
Golfers usually have to worry about slicing into the woods or losing a Pro V1 in the water. Not many are prepared for a small plane to crash-land next to them but that’s exactly what happened at Mona Vale Golf Course in Sydney, Australia, when a flying lesson went very, very wrong.
A pilot instructor and his student, both in their 50s, had their plane lose power mid-flight and were forced into an emergency landing right onto the fairway.
Miraculously, both only suffered minor injuries and walked away with nothing more than a hospital trip in stable condition. Golfers on the course got the whole thing on camera, and the video is insane. Honestly, it’s about as clear as crash footage gets.

All things considered, the landing could’ve been a lot worse.
I gotta say being a flight instructor has to be one of the worst jobs in the world. You’re climbing into the sketchiest, most failure-prone aircraft imaginable with a person who has no clue what they’re doing.
Backup controls don’t matter much if the engine gives out. At least if you’re teaching someone how to drive, the worst-case scenario is a fender bender, not an impromptu crash-landing on the back nine.
The Video Itself
The cell phone footage is crystal clear. None of that grainy Ring cam or security footage stuff. You can see the plane sputter, nose down, and then skid across the grass.
Shoutout to this guy, too

Most plane crash videos are grim. This one was weirdly watchable because everybody’s okay. It honestly might be the cleanest plane crash footage I’ve ever seen
Wild stuff, but hey, it’s better on a golf course than in someone’s living room.
Glad the two guys made it out safe. And somewhere in Sydney, golfers are telling their buddies at the bar, “Yeah, I was one putt away from birdie when a plane landed on the fairway.”
