Adam Schefter predicts how the Micah Parsons–Jerry Jones saga ends in Dallas
In the world of social media and the never ending notifications, I nearly missed this Micah Parsons update from Schefty himself. Luckily, TheLibertyLine business chat never sleeps, and my fearless leader Drew Smith dropped it in there.
I responded appropriately as the “quarterback” here and said: “I will grab Parsons rn”. Without leaking too much of the contents of our group chat, it’s safe to say I’m not only grabbing this blog opportunity, but I’m wrapping it up with both hands like a true fundamentally sound defensive back. My fellow colleagues are incredibly proud.
Anyhow, the Dallas Cowboys are a total circus. That shouldn’t be news to anyone. The Micah Parsons divorce feels legit. And, according to Adam Schefter, this isn’t just a little training camp drama. This is the real deal.
On his podcast this week, Schefter didn’t hold back on the Micah Parsons situation

Like I’ve been saying all along: Where there’s smoke there’s fire. And this just brings a great sense of joy to my heart as I had to sit back and listen to that rat infested fanbase talk about their team. Which, keep in mind; is coming off a season where the Eagles won the Super Bowl (LOL).
Every year it’s the same thing: the Cowboys overhype themselves, their fans start screaming “This is our year!” and then reality hits. Now they can’t even keep their superstar happy.
Parsons is 26 years old, a four-time Pro Bowler, and has racked up 52.5 sacks in just 63 games. He’s basically unblockable. And somehow Dallas has managed to fumble this situation so badly that their best player doesn’t even want to talk to them.
Jerry Jones already accused Parsons of backing out of a “handshake deal” and has taken little jabs at him in the media. That’s your franchise guy, and you’re treating him like a rookie? Classic Cowboys dysfunction.
Sure, They Could Pay Him… But Will They?
Let’s be fair: money usually solves these kinds of problems. The Browns did it earlier this year when Myles Garrett was talking about leaving — they dropped a record contract in his lap and suddenly all was forgiven.
But, I’m not so sure Parsons wants anything to do with the Cowboys anymore. At this point, money may not be the concern. I think Parsons just wants out and there’s no better place for him to turn his career around than here for the Philadelphia Eagles.
Where: “Money is nice, but championships are better” Shoutout to Jalen Hurts.
Bottom Line
Adam Schefter doesn’t throw out predictions like this for fun. If he’s saying a Parsons-Cowboys divorce is coming, believe it. The question isn’t if, it’s when.
