Daniel Jones named Colts starting QB after stint as Ambassador to Israel

Colts quarterback Daniel Jones is making his return as a starter in the NFL just nine months after being tapped as Donald Trump’s Ambassador to Israel. His time in Jerusalem was considered fruitless by international relations experts, as tensions and violence in the region continued to escalate despite increased criticism from the international community.

Daniel Jones is back in a starting role in Indianapolis after doing nothing to work towards a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip:

As the death toll continued to rise, Jones did pretty much nothing in the way of brokering peace talks. Based on his initial comments when we first covered this story at The Liberty Line, my expectations were already low, but I genuinely have no idea what he was even doing over there.

Jones spoke to Al Jazeera after the announcement:

“I’m grateful to President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu for the opportunity to continue our two nations’ decades-long partnership. I look forward to my next chapter in Indianapolis and promise to do all I can to make Coach Steichen proud.”

Sports fans and geopolitical wonks alike can’t wrap their heads around the decision to start Daniel Jones. Obviously, this is a decision made by coaches without a sense of job security, right?

Or is it possibly one made by coaches who have been coerced by Mossad agents via sexual blackmail to reward Jones for not impeding their government’s agenda? Only time will tell.

That being said, his practice uniform definitely raised some eyebrows at Colts camp…
