Eagles Injury Report August 20th AJ Brown

Eagles Injury Report: This list is getting way too long

On September 4th, the Philadelphia Eagles will open up the 2025 NFL season at The Linc against the rat-infested Dallas Cowboys. For those struggling with the math, that’s basically two weeks from today, and if you take a closer look at the latest injury report, it’s getting a bit too long for comfort.

EJ Smith with the latest Eagles Injury Report:

Eagles Injury Report:

  • AJ Brown – hamstring
  • Lewis Cine – groin
  • Landon Dickerson – knee
  • Jordan Mailata – concussion
  • Tanner McKee – finger
  • Andrew Mukuba – hamstring
  • Kelee Ringo – quad
  • DeVonta Smith – groin
  • Josh Uche – groin
  • Johnny Wilson – knee/ankle
  • Tariq Castro-Fields – hamstring

Look, if you read anything I write about the Eagles or the NFL in general during the middle of the Dog Days, then you already know that I absolutely do not care about Training Camp, takeaways, or preseason games.

I haven’t watched any of it. I can’t stand the lazy media writing about meaningless stats and drumming up pointless narratives when no one is actually playing football.

I also hate when I turn on Philly Sports Talk Radio and these dummies are talking about “levels of concern” based off injuries in the middle of August.

That being said, given the players on the Eagles’ Injury List, it does make you feel a certain way two weeks out from Opening Night. Four offensive starters are on there, plus Mukuba and Ringo, who are at least competing for meaningful defensive snaps.

I don’t like that. The Eagles have been really fortunate on the injury front for years now. Hurts had the concussion scare last season but played through it. Mailata and Goedert missed time, Brandon Graham and Nakobe Dean had their dings, and a few role guys like Covey and Bradberry were sidelined, but that was about it.

Same story in 2022. CJGJ and Goedert went down, but they still marched to the Super Bowl. The Birds haven’t felt the weight of a bad injury report in quite some time, so maybe looking at the latest updates from camp is just that “shock factor” of actually seeing significant guys on the sidelines.

Either way, I would like to see our guys get some real reps ahead of Week 1 vs Dallas. I won’t be watching, but they should definitely get up to speed and in “game shape” before the regular season, right?
