Xfinity Live! officially rebranded as Philly’s own Stateside Live!
Stateside Live! – Pour one out for the monstrosity we’ve all loved, hated, or blacked out inside of at one point during a Philadelphia sports season. Xfinity Live! is officially getting a new name. Starting this fall, the South Philly landmark will be rebranded as Stateside Live!, courtesy of a hometown partnership with Stateside Vodka.
The same vodka brand born out of Kensington tailgates is now stamping its name on Philly’s pregame headquarters. Honestly, it’s about time.
Comcast never deserved to be immortalized on the same complex where half this city has celebrated playoff wins and mourned heartbreaking losses.
Stateside Vodka isn’t some random corporate takeover. These guys actually built their brand inside Philly sports culture on the backs of tailgaters, block parties, backyard coolers stuffed with Surfside iced teas.
Gotta love Stateside Live! The fans made the brand and now the brand is giving the fans a stadium bar of their own. That’s how you do it.
Stateside Live! Presser:
Stateside Brands (“Stateside”) today announced that the new name of South Philadelphia’s top entertainment destination, long known as “Xfinity Live!”, will become Stateside Live!. The venue, situated in the middle of the Sports Complex between Lincoln Financial Field, Citizens Bank Park, and the newly named Xfinity Mobile Arena, is operated by The Cordish Companies’ Live! Hospitality & Entertainment division. Goldwater Enterprises negotiated the naming rights partnership with Stateside. The name change is anticipated to take effect in the fall of 2025.
Stateside Vodka was launched in 2015 from its craft distillery in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia and has become one of Pennsylvania’s top-selling spirits in recent years. With a focus on establishing the brand as a pre-eminent top-quality American vodka brand, Stateside Vodka was founded by two sets of brothers, Matt and Bryan Quigley and Clement and Zach Pappas. The company’s award-winning vodka includes a 2024 Double Gold Medal at the 2024 San Francisco World Spirits Competition and is now available in 32 states across the United States. Stateside Brands is also the producer of Surfside Iced Teas and Lemonades, which is currently the fastest-growing spirits brand worldwide, as reported by the industry publication IMPACT Databank.
…
The naming rights partnership coincides with the groundbreaking of the previously announced $20 million expansion to the Live! venue. Plans for the expansion include internal and external elements along with a special focus on transforming the Live! plaza into a premier entertainment destination. Improvements to the plaza include adding a central, two-story VIP building featuring an upscale rooftop oasis; a new central stage for concerts and entertainment; an upgraded turf area, providing a versatile space for various activities and community activations; and public art installations integrated throughout the plaza creating a sense of community to the upgraded space.
As previously announced, the expansion of Live! is anticipated to be completed in 2026. The facility will remain open throughout construction leading up to a historic 2026 in the city, including the 250th birthday of the country, the FIFA World Cup, and the Major League Baseball All-Star Game.
Stateside Live! $20 Million Glow-Up Coming
The name isn’t the only thing changing. Live! is dropping $20 million on an expansion that’ll wrap by 2026, and here’s what’s on deck:
- A brand-new open-air beer garden.
- A Crush Bar serving up hand-squeezed cocktails.
- A massive PBR Cowboy Bar expansion with its own outdoor stage (twice the bull rides, twice the concussions).
- A two-story VIP rooftop setup for the bougie Birds fans.
- New turf, a central stage for concerts, and public art installations so you can take your drunk Instagram selfies in style.
So yeah, Stateside Live! is looking to be a louder and more dangerous playground for Philly sports fans.
Philly Staying Philly
For once, this is a rebrand that actually makes sense. Comcast’s “Xfinity” name always felt like a suit-and-tie sponsor.
I bet the newly minted Xfinity Mobile Arena isn’t happy about losing their little brother next door but hey, Stateside Vodka is Philly through and through. It’s booze-born at the tailgates right outside and now immortalized in the signature South Philly Sports Complex. That’s something the entire city can get behind.
