Antonio Brown roasts Travis Kelce into oblivion over his original proposal plans for Taylor Swift, Eagles fans in total agreement
I think we can all be honest with ourselves and say that Travis Kelce was 100% going to propose to Taylor Swift if the Kansas City Chiefs won Super Bowl LIX to three-peat.
As we all know here in Philadelphia, the Eagles handed Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes one sweet ass kicking, bringing an end to their cute little dynasty. The Birds shit-pumped KC in the Super Bowl to squash those dreams and now we all know those weren’t the only dreams that were ruined that fateful night in New Orleans.
ESPN is probably still mad about the Chiefs not getting the three-peat. They were desperate for that proposal to put a bow on their dumb “Chiefs Kingdom” documentary that fell flat on it’s face.
I think we can all thank God that didn’t happen but anyways, Antonio Brown, a scholar, came out today and said what everyone was already thinking about Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift.

Travis was 100% gonna propose after the last Super Bowl but they got their teeth kicked in lmao

In case you missed it, Taylor Swift hopped on Instagram to announce that she and Travis Kelce are officially engaged. The post featured a bunch of garden snapshots after Kelce got down on one knee. Swift captioned it, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” with a firecracker emoji. Cute. Cringe. Whatever you want to call it.
The Ring That’s Got Swifties in a Tailspin
Naturally, the main event wasn’t the engagement itself—it was the jewelry. Vogue confirmed that Kelce designed the ring with Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewelry. It’s a brilliant-cut diamond bezel-set in gold, which basically means it’s expensive enough to make every Swiftie faint. Cool? I guess.

Taylor Even Brought Out a Theme Song…
Because no life event is complete without a soundtrack, Swift paired the announcement with her song “So High School.” The lyrics—“You know how to ball/I know Aristotle”—are supposedly a nod to her romance with Kelce. Subtle as a sledgehammer.
But Let’s Be Honest Here…
And before Swifties flood my mentions, let’s not forget that Taylor tried playing the “I’m an Eagles fan” card to her millions of fans. Go back to Summer 2023 at the Linc, when she sold out three straight nights on her Eras Tour. She stopped mid-show to “clarify” the lyric from Gold Rush.
“With my Eagles t-shirt hanging from the door”
Her fans couldn’t figure out if she meant the band or the actual team.
She meant the team once she realized she was standing in South Philly. Swift’s from West Reading and she sang the national anthem at Sixers and Phillies games back in the day. We know the truth though. Swift only leans into the Eagles when it’s convenient.
Congrats to them, I guess. In Philadelphia, we don’t care about engagement rings, garden photoshoots, or cutesy captions. The only ring that matters is the one the Eagles brought home in Super Bowl LII.
So enjoy your little moment Swifties. Just remember we all know you’re fake football fans and the Eagles own you. End of story.
