Phillies dad shares his side of viral “Phillies Karen” home run ball incident
The Phillies fan at the center of Friday night’s viral “Karen” home run ball incident has finally shared his side of the story.
Drew Feltwell, a Burlington County native now living in West Palm Beach, was at loanDepot Park with his wife and two kids when Harrison Bader launched a home run into the seats.
Feltwell snagged it and handed it off to his son Lincoln, who turns 10 this week.
“I felt like super dad,” Feltwell told NBC10. “Just trying to make this week about him. Catching a ball for his birthday was a dream moment.”
That dream quickly soured when another fan stormed over yelling “that’s my ball!” Instead of escalating the situation, Feltwell gave the ball up.
“Still in disbelief that she walked down there like that,” he said. “Just trying to set an example of how to de-escalate a situation in front of my son, I guess.”

Phillies notch 4 homers, 16 hits, and a 9-3 win in Miami
The so-called “Phillies Karen” didn’t exactly handle her win with class.

Other videos show her flipping off the crowd as she walked away, and fans booed her right out of the ballpark.
Fortunately, the story flipped back in the Feltwells’ favor. Both the Phillies and Marlins stepped in to make things right. Lincoln got to meet Harrison Bader after the game, took home an autographed bat, and even received a bag of souvenirs
“I wish I had the ball for my son to put in his room next to the bat, but if I had the ball, I probably wouldn’t have gotten the bat, so it worked out fine,” Drew said.
So in the end, Lincoln walked away with something way better than a scuffed baseball, and “Phillies Karen” walked away as the most booed person in Miami.
