Jalen Carter will not face suspension, gets hit with $57K fine for spitting on Dak Prescott
We’ve finally gotten a verdict on the Jalen Carter discipline.
Jalen Carter will not be suspended, but is getting a fine
Schefter also reported that Carter’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, and the Eagles worked out a deal where Carter will not get any guaranteed money taken out of his contract due to the ejection. Wins all around for the Birds here.
This is the correct decision from the NFL. Fining him was always the right move, a suspension would’ve been overkill, especially since he missed the entire Cowboys game for the incident.
Of course, Dak won’t face any type of punishment, even though he spit first and we all saw it. The NFL is once again asking us not to use our eyes — classic authoritarian tactic. Fight back at all costs.
Nevertheless, Carter is good to go for Sunday’s Super Bowl rematch. I’m sure Patrick Mahomes isn’t happy about that.
