WATCH: Tiger Woods is back swinging clubs in public for the first time since March achilles surgery
We’ve officially got new Tiger Woods footage, folks. The man is swinging a golf club again. If you’re not already sitting down, you probably should be.
Back in March, right when he was ramping up prep for the Masters, Tiger dropped the nightmare news that he ruptured his left Achilles. Season over before it even started. Since then, we’ve only seen him pop up a few times watching Charlie play junior golf, no real updates, nothing to make you believe a comeback was in motion.
Until now.

Tiger turns 50 on December 30, which means he’ll be eligible for the Champions Tour in 2026. That’s fine, but honestly, no one’s rooting for Tiger to cruise into retirement golf. We want the big one. We want one more Sunday in April with Tiger in red, storming up a Masters leaderboard.
It sounds insane, sure, but so did 2019.
Everybody keep their composure. Don’t overreact to one wedge swing. Or do exactly what I’m doing and convince yourself the comeback is real. I’m not ready to let go of Tiger Woods. Watching your sports heroes fade away just reminds you that you’re older than every new big name in the game.
I don’t care. I want one more classic Tiger Woods run.
Don’t be one of those dorks on social media pointing out the obvious. I know that Tiger Woods is swinging with a buddy who’s 100% healthy and we still need to see him walk 18 holes.
You get hurt, you come back.
That happens all of the time and given the fact that we are talking about Tiger Woods, the greatest golfer alive with all the resources he could ever possibly need, I have no doubt that he’ll eventually walk a golf course again.
We’re not asking for much. Just one more trip down memory lane. One more Tiger Sunday. The comeback has never been more on.
