Chris Jones and the Chiefs are definitely not over their Super Bowl LIX blowout
It’s safe to say the Chiefs are looking forward to hosting the Eagles in Week 2. Defensive tackle Chris Jones was asked about the prospect of a Super Bowl LIX rematch after getting absolutely waxed, and he didn’t mince words about his feelings towards the loss.
Chris Jones and the Chiefs still have a bad taste in their mouth after being totally dismantled in all phases of the game:

I mean, can you blame them? I definitely wouldn’t be happy if I got completely mollywhopped in front of the entire world by a far better football team. That would really sit with me for a while.
Of course, the NFL has set the schedule so that the Chiefs are hosting the Eagles at Arrowhead. The last time the Eagles played them at home in the regular season was in 2017. You’d figure the league would give the Super Bowl champs some home-field love for the rematch like they did for the Chiefs in 2023, but alas, that is not the case here.
But it doesn’t really matter. The Chiefs are older, more banged up, and, quite frankly, not all that good of a football team. They’re far from bad, but the Eagles definitely aren’t afraid of them.
So, Chris Jones, you’d better get used to that bad taste in your mouth. It’s going to be there for another year.
