Matt Ryan Eagles Rams Comments

Matt Ryan turned CBS into a group therapy session for the Rams after they blew a 19-point lead to the Philadelphia Eagles

This might be the wildest postgame clip of the year. Matt Ryan, live on CBS, essentially sat down on the broadcast desk and gave the Los Angeles Rams a therapy session after their 33-26 collapse to the Eagles. His advice was telling the Rams that “we’re every bit as good, if not better, than the Philadelphia Eagles.”

Matt Ryan Therapy Session for the Los Angeles Rams

What the hell was that, Matt Ryan?

That’s not analysis. That’s not breaking down coverages or pointing out missed assignments. That’s straight-up coping, live on national television. Are we doing affirmations now? Is CBS running postgame content or guided meditation?

Matt Ryan being the guy saying it is almost too perfect. The same Matt Ryan whose career highlight reel will forever be stamped with “28-3.” So yeah, maybe he is the perfect spokesperson to console a Rams team that just blew a 26-7 lead.

If anyone knows how to walk a locker room through a meltdown, it’s him.

The Eagles spotted the Rams 19 points, and it still wasn’t enough. If Philly had shown up for the first half, this would’ve been a blowout of biblical proportions.

Instead, we get the media bending over backwards to spin this as some kind of moral victory for L.A. Meanwhile, if the shoe was on the other foot, the Eagles would be getting torched for “concerning flaws” or “regression.”

Matt Ryan should listen to Nick Sirianni

If I were in that Rams locker room, I’d be begging Matt Ryan and CBS to stop embarrassing me with this soft participation-trophy energy. Own the loss. You had your chance, you blew it, and the Birds walked out with another win. Simple as that.
