2025 Ryder Cup Friday Pairings: Matchups and Tee Times for Day 1 at Bethpage Black
We’ve waited long enough. The 2025 Ryder Cup is officially here, and the Friday morning foursomes are locked in. First tee shot is 7:10 a.m. at Bethpage Black, and Keegan Bradley just sent a clear message with his opening lineup.
Bryson DeChambeau and Justin Thomas are first out the gates at Bethpage Black against Jon Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton.
That’s a heavyweight brawl to kick things off, and it’s exactly what the Ryder Cup needed. Bryson in front of thousands of red, white, and blue maniacs foaming at the mouth on the first tee? Brother… that’s not golf, that’s theater.

Sitting Out First Session…
- USA: J.J. Spaun, Cameron Young, Ben Griffin, Sam Burns
- Europe: Rasmus Hojgaard, Sepp Straka, Shane Lowry, Justin Rose
The opening session is about setting a tone, and Bradley wants firepower on the board early. Bryson and JT are volatile enough to either light the place on fire or implode in spectacular fashion, which makes them the perfect tone-setters in front of a rabid New York crowd.
Scheffler and Henley feel like a quiet assassin pairing, Collin and Harris draw Rory and Fleetwood in what might look like a bloodbath for the Euros but I wouldn’t be too sure.
You’re talking about two guys in Morikawa and English that are the definition of consistency and if they can steady the waters and keep things tight, the idea there is to let Rory and Tommy play themselves out of an expected win.
Last up you have the experience on full display with Cantlay and Schauffele, who have been proven to basically be an auto-point duo over the years.
