Jared Verse finally bends the knee to Jalen Hurts after the Rams lose to the Eagles for the 3rd time in a year
At this point, Jared Verse should probably have “Property of the Philadelphia Eagles” stitched into his Rams jersey. The second year linebacker has lined up against Jalen Hurts and the Birds three times in the past year, and all three times, he’s walked off the field with an L.
You’d think that kind of humiliation might leave him bitter, but instead, Verse publicly bent the knee to Jalen Hurts and the Eagles.
After Philly’s latest 33-26 comeback win over the Rams in Week 3—where Hurts torched LA for three second-half touchdowns—Verse tried to silence the national “Hurts can’t throw” crowd with an unfiltered rant.

"A lot of people go like, oh he can't throw, he's only a runner. The mfer can throw. He's a f—ing QB in the NFL for a reason. I don't know why people are saying that s—t.”

That’s right—after getting strip-sack credit and six tackles in a losing effort, Verse still felt the need to make sure everyone knew Jalen Hurts is the real deal. No spin. No excuses. Just raw, expletive-filled admiration for the same guy who just beat him. Again.
Hurts Shuts Down the Narrative
The whole “Hurts can’t throw” crowd looks dumber by the week. Against the Rams, Hurts flat-out erased a 19-point deficit by himself in the second half—racking up 221 total yards and three touchdowns while leading Philly to yet another comeback win. Did I mention this was all done in the second half?
Oh, and in case anyone missed it—the Eagles have now won 17 straight games that Hurts has started and finished. At this point, the only thing Hurts isn’t doing is losing.
Just three games removed from winning Super Bowl MVP, Hurts remains unbeaten. And even with yet another new offensive coordinator and some shaky moments, all he does is find ways to win.
And in this most recent case, Jared Verse will tell you: He is one of the most feared players in the NFL. You can never count him out.
