If you were hoping for fireworks in the morning session at Bethpage, you got them. Unfortunately, just not from the United States. It was an absolute disaster-class across the board and it all unfolded in front of Michael Jordan and President Donald Trump.

The only pairing keeping this thing from being a complete shutout was Schauffele and Cantlay, who won 1-up. Everyone else got cooked.
This wasn’t some fluky bounce or weird break. Europe rolled out Hatton, Rahm, Rory, Fleetwood, and Fitzpatrick, and they just stomped America into the ground.
The Americans better figure this shit out, fast. A ton of fresh blood is coming up in the afternoon—Ben Griffin, Cam Young, and company need to go nuclear and claw us back into the mix. Because right now, the scoreboard looks like something out of a nightmare.
