AJ Brown firing off cryptic Tweets after a win is exactly what the Eagles need
The Eagles moved to 4-0 on Sunday with a 31-25 win over Tampa, but once again, AJ Brown was nowhere to be found. He caught two passses for seven yards for nine targets, most of which were stop routes and slants that the Tampa defense was waiting for.
After the game, we got some vintage cryptic Tweets from WR1.
AJ Brown firing off cryptic Tweets? This is exactly what I’ve been waiting for

It goes without saying that every Eagles fan thinks this is about Brown not getting the ball. Maybe it is, maybe it isn’t. I honestly don’t know. He didn’t speak with the media after the game, so maybe he’s “withdrawing” from speaking to the rats, to which I say, more power to him.
Regardless of what these Tweets mean, this is exactly what the Eagles need to get back on track offensively.
They came out firing on Sunday. Jalen Hurts had a damn near perfect first half, going 15-for-16 for 130 yards and two touchdowns. In the second half, things fells off a cliff. Hurts didn’t complete a single pass after halftime and the Eagles had to scratch and claw to preserve the victory.
We have yet to see this team put together a full 60 minutes of great football. AJ Brown wants to be great for 60 minutes and he wants his team to feed off of him. He should be the focal point of the passing attack. Yet, Kevin Patullo schemes up touches for John Metchie in the first half over Brown. I’d be annoyed too if I were Brown.
Next week, Denver comes to town with their top-flight defense. It’s a perfect opportunity to flex on the league. Unleash AJ and for the love of God, open up holes for Saquon Barkley to run through. The formula really is as simple as that.
