Giants finally win, Malik Nabers goes down as MetLife turf claims another victim
The New York Giants finally got into the win column with a 21-18 win over the Chargers. Unfortunately, they also lost their most important offensive weapon process. Malik Nabers went down midway through the second quarter and never returned.

Same story, different victim.
The cursed MetLife turf officially claimed another star. Malik Nabers suffered a torn ACL and is out for the rest of the 2025 NFL season.
MRI confirms torn ACL for Giants WR Malik Nabers
On paper, the Giants beat the Chargers 21-18. Rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart made his first NFL start after Brian Daboll pulled the plug on Russell Wilson and passed over Jameis Winston. Dart did enough, leaning on the run game, protecting the football, and letting his defense hang tough to deliver the team’s first victory of 2025.
Without Nabers, there’s hardly a reason to celebrate. He had just two catches for 20 yards before the injury, and everything about this Giants offense looks ten times harder without him stretching defenses and demanding double coverage.
Dart is now tasked with running an offense built around Wan’Dale Robinson, Jalin Hyatt, and Darren Waller. Not exactly terrifying secondaries in the NFC East.
The Giants play the Eagles twice in the next four weeks. Even if the injury somehow isn’t a full ACL tear, Nabers isn’t walking back onto the field for those games.
The Giants finally got a win. They also lost the one guy who made them watchable. Malik Nabers’ 2025 season is over before it really began and Jaxson Dart’s rookie year just got a whole lot more complicated.
