Kyle Schwarber hypes up the incredible Phillies postseason atmosphere on ‘The Pat McAfee Show’

Kyle Schwarber obviously loves playing in Philadelphia. The Phillies slugger went on The Pat McAfee Show ahead of the NLDS and couldn’t help but wax poetic about how electric the playoff atmosphere is at Citizens Bank Park.

Kyle Schwarber knew he and his teammates were in for a treat in the postseason after going to an Eagles game, calling it an “animal box”:

The best part is? There’s absolutely zero exaggeration from Schwarber here. Phillies fans are hands down the best, loudest, most batshit-insane fans in all of baseball, and it makes for the greatest home field advantage in the sport.

When The Bank gets rocking, it becomes an absolute fortress. Teams can’t stand coming to Philly and playing nine innings with 42k+ Phillies fans blowing their eardrums out every pitch of every at-bat.

I’ve seen it firsthand from the nosebleeds during Game 1 of the 2023 NLDS against the Diamondbacks. Two home runs in the first three batters blew the metaphorical roof off the place before the second inning could even start.

Now, with the Dodgers coming to town, you just know Phillies fans are going to go bananas. It’s likely to be the best series in this postseason, and Citizens Bank Park will be the stage it starts on for Game 1 this Saturday.
