Jalen Hurts went for his own rebound on the Eagles’ Hail Mary attempt
The Philadelphia Eagles lost a brutal game to the Denver Broncos on Sunday. Despite the comedy of errors, the game came down to a final play, and Jalen Hurts pulled out all the stops, sprinting to the end zone to try and get his own rebound.
Jalen Hurts tried literally everything to convert this Hail Mary:

Can confirm: this man absolutely hates losing. Sure, it would’ve helped if he didn’t take six sacks, but that’s not all on him.
I do love the effort here, though. My youth basketball coach drilled the “follow your shot” mantra into us every practice. It still drives me crazy when NBA players just get back on defense after putting up a shot, but I’d never even considered it to be the move in the NFL on a Hail Mary.
Sure, Hurts was a little tardy to the party here, and that probably should have been someone else’s responsibility. Maybe DeVonta Smith or AJ Brown should have been there instead of bumping and grinding on the same patch of grass in the back of the end zone.
