The Phillies have a great track record in the Powder Blues heading into Game 3
The Phillies are breaking out the Powder Blues tonight, and recent history says that’s a good thing. Thank God for that because they’re going to need every little bit of momentum for Game 3 in LA.
The Phillies have torn it up in the Powder Blues:
As you can see, they’ve won 11 of their last 14 games in the classic uniforms, including a 6-1 record this season. This will be the first time in six years they’ve worn them on the road, and the first time they’ve gone powder blue on the road in the postseason since the 1983 World Series.
As a result, we here at The Liberty Line are pleased to be the first outlet in the city to declare the Phillies officially back. Throw everything you’ve thought or read on our website about this team, the Phils are winning three straight and punching their ticket to the NLCS with all the momentum in the world.
Obviously, this is a kitchen sink game for the Phils. They’re going to need to pull out all the stops to survive Game 3 and extend this series, and the Powder Blues are a key part of the equation.
Sure, we’ve seen some less than stellar postseason outings in these unis, but I quite frankly do not care about those. It’s look good, feel good, until the day I die, and the Phils are going to look their best on the road at Dodger Stadium.
